Chilly weather, gardeners beware!

If you have finally got into the garden after a long, chilly winter, you'll be hoping for some sunny days and frost free nights ahead. Unfortunately, I don;t think we'll be seeing these.

There will be pleasant sunshine for many today, this leading to a widespread frost tonight. Temperatures will be falling rapidly in the light winds and under clearer skies giving a severe frost in places. Temperatures could be down to -5C in sheltered parts of the midlands, eastern Wales and parts of central southern England.

Chilly nights are on the cards for the next few nights, especially in the south.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
Simon
