Heavy thunderstorms, take care...
Today is going to be a thundery day for most of southern and central England.
We've an area of thunderstorms moving through the London area, Surrey, Sussex and Kent this morning, extending into Essex. These could bring heavy rain through the morning, although this slowly clearing east this afternoon.
The next area of thunderstorms then moves through southwest England. The storms then grow northeastwards through southeast Wales, central southern England and the Midlands by early afternoon, before extending through East Anglia during the rest of the afternoon. They then move eastwards.
In heavy downpours visibility could be reduced to 200m, especially when the effect of spray on the roads is added. Hail could also occur.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
