Rain moving east on Saturday...
Most of us have enjoyed three fair weekends in a row during June. Yes, I know that's not been the story for everybody, but for most, it has been warmer and sunnier than you'd expect. This weekend is likely to be different.
During the course of Saturday low pressure is going to be moving to the west of Scotland. It's here where there is likely to be most of the rain, especially in the west and north. A trailing cold front will hang down through northern England, Wales and the Midlands, moving eastwards as the day progresses. It should become brighter through Ireland later.
For Sunday it will be showers that will be the order of the day. At the moment I think most of these are going to be to the west of the country, with western Scotland, Ireland, Wales and western England at most risk. It could be that eastern and southern England may stay dry, but my confidence in this is low so do check back tomorrow.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
Simon
