The beginning of August rather unsettled and much cooler, fine and settled spell mid and late in August.

29/07 - 05/08
Cool and unsettled for all areas, with showers or longer spells of rain. Windy in the northwest and generally northwesterly flow across all areas. Pressure building to the west southwest through the middle of the week, showers beginning to die away from the west, continuing through eastern and northeastern areas for a time, then mainly dry everywhere.

05/08 - 11/08 Pressure high to the west through the remainder of the period, some scattered showers possible although mainly dry and fine under a building ridge of high pressure, rather warm with good sunny spells.

12/08 - 18/08
Dry and fine for a time over the weekend then the bulk of the week rather mixed with showers or longer spells of rain, drier brighter conditions returning a pressure once again rises. The end of the week should see all areas settled and fine, and much warmer.

19/08 - 23/08
A rather warm to locally hot spell may develop, high pressure to the south and east. A southwest flow over the northwest may bring cloudier weather with showers at times. A chance of thunderstorms developing in the west and southwest later
