Temperatures continue to rise...

After a hot weekend for most of us, the weather looks set to become increasingly uncomfortable over the coming days.

I'd urge those of you who suffer from the heat or have children or elderly people to look after to take extra care and visit the NHS heatwave advisory site by clicking here.

It does seem as if we could see temperatures into the 90's Fahrenheit by the middle part of the week, with parts of the southern Midlands and Home Counties most favoured to see a temperature of 35C on Wednesday.

There should be a weak breakdown in conditions towards Thursday with a band of thundery showers moving northeastwards, but this won't be lasting long.

The weekend is looking set to hot up again, although it will always be cooler on the coasts. This more especially over Northern Ireland and northwest Scotland.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
