Pick of the weekend is Sunday...
It looks like much of the country is going to be seeing some welcome rainfall through the course of Saturday, so get set for a muggy and damp start to the weekend.
As I type this forecast there are huge storm over France and it is this humid air which will be making it's way northwards over the next 18-hours. By early Saturday morning thundery rain is likely to have reached the south coasts of England. This spread northeastwards through much of England and eastern Wales by midday, as well as into northern England and parts of Scotland. The thundery rain then lasts into the later afternoon, passing into Scotland and northern England, bit slowly fading from Wales, southwest England and the western Midlands as well as western parts of Scotland.
A ridge of high pressure builds for Sunday bringing a much better day. Lots of dry weather, sunny spells and warm temperatures.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.

It's another warm one on Saturday...
...but there will be showers and rain developing. These are most likely across southern Scotland, northern and eastern parts of England, where some of them may be heavy at times. A band of rain pushes east over Ireland and into Wales, although this should only be light. In-between expect sunny spells and a rising thermometer again, peaking at 28C through the southern Midlands.
By Sunday things should be cooler for most with scattered showers in central Scotland, but mainly dry conditions elsewhere.
Don't get out the woollies just yet though as temperatures look likely to soar again next week, with 30+C on the cards on Wednesday or Thursday. Of course we'll keep you updated here at Weatheronline.co.uk
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
