Cooling down as the rain arrives

You know, we British are never happy about the weather are we? I remember untold numbers of people moaning to me that the winter was "too cold" and that they couldn't wait for it to "warm up". Well, now the hot summer weather is here those same people are waiting for it to cool down again.

For those of you not keen on the heat the good news is that a change in the weather is on the way. By the weekend all parts of the country are going to be cooler, with winds coming in off the Atlantic.

That does mean that there will also be periods of rain. The main band will move eastwards through Saturday, with showers developing during Sunday.

Low pressure stays with us for the start of next week so be prepared for 10 or so days of more unsettled, sometimes wet and windy weather.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
