Atlantic air finally arrives...
It's been a long time coming but by the end of Saturday all parts of the UK and Ireland will have a change of airmass. Gone will be the days of hot sultry weather with continental air making thermometers soar, to be replaced by much cooler west or southwest winds blowing from the Atlantic.
This change is taking place behind a cold front which will bring rain to many areas on Saturday. By Sunday temperatures will be into the low 20's for many, with heavy showers over Ireland.
The new week sees further unsettled conditions with bands of rain passing east at times, most of these through western Ireland and Scotland with some of them heavy.
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
