Ground frost in North

Looks like we will be seeing a cold night on Thursday night, especially through the Midlands, northern England, southern and central Scotland.

I'm expecting air temperatures to touch 0C in more sheltered Scottish glens, so a slight air frost here.

For sheltered parts of the Midlands, northern England and southern Scotland air temperatures may touch 4C, in which case ground temperatures may dip close or below freezing. A widespread, very slight ground frost is possible.

Fog patches are also likely by morning, with the highest risk through the Vale of York. They won't last long, but where they form they may be dense for a time.

Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
Simon
