Fog for some, dense in places
As high pressure drifts away eastwards from the British Isles, winds are going to be easing. The long, fine day that many of us have experienced on Saturday, combined with the light winds will lead to an increased risk of mist and fog forming tonight.
We think that the highest risk of the fog through tonight ins through northeast England (especially the Vale of York), central and eastern Scotland. Visibility could be below 100 metres in the morning, although once the sun gets to work, the fog should readily clear.
One other area that may be prone too is through sheltered parts of Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire. Here the fog shouldn't be as widespread, but where it does occur it may be dense.
My, autumn is really here isn't it?
Whatever the weather, keep the sun shining.
Simon
