Chilly at times, unsettled overall
The pattern is a little wobbly at the moment with some variability in the flow; however there are still indications that pressure will be higher to the west during the period. The result of this could be that much of our weather will be coming from a northwesterly direction, so cool and mixed for much of the time. There will also be spells when conditions will be more settled as pressure builds through the country.
28/10 - 03/11
High pressure should be in control of the pattern to the west/northwest of the UK, a cool north to northwesterly breeze covering the UK. Showers can be expected across northwestern districts of the country, mainly dry across remaining areas, with bright or sunny spells. Becoming mainly dry for a time mid-week as pressure builds through the country, although cloud and rain approaching the north will extend south and east through all areas, a cool to cold north to northwesterly flow re-establishing across the country, showers following possibly wintry to high ground over Scotland.
04/11 - 10/11
Pressure building across central areas, bright or sunny spells for a time, some showers and a cool easterly breeze over southern England. Cloud and rain moving into the north by mid-week, any brighter spells in the south disappearing as more general cloud wind and rain approaches the west and extends through all areas by the end of the week.
11/11 - 17/11
Perhaps rather unsettled, wet, windy and cool through the weekend with gales quite widespread. Becoming rather cold for a time as winds swing into the north, low pressure crossing to the east, showers feeding south through all areas. Pressure building to the west, showers dying out slowly, brighter spells with overnight frost as winds fall lighter. Some showers running down eastern coastal areas.
18/11 - 22/11 Pressure beginning to build through northern areas, dry over Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England with sunny spells, cloudier with showers over the south and cool easterly breeze.
