Overall the general weather pattern is changing with low pressure tending to dominate Britain for much of the upcoming week. Most places will see near normal temperatures and rainfall totals for early November and little in the way of frost.

Saturday 11/11/06
Rather windy with cold air in the north moving south. Showers across northern Britain today and these will fall as snow over the Scottish Mountains. Much of England and Wales will be wet with spells of rain. The rain clears the south of England by tonight with showers in the north, these of snow across Scotland and perhaps the northern Pennines. Highs of 6 to 11C in north, 12 to 16C in the south.

A cold day and very windy across eastern areas this morning with snow showers for northern Scotland today. Some light rain is expected from western Scotland into the Irish Sea and Wales. Elsewhere it's dry with sunny spells. Cloudy overnight with rain across the northern half of Britain. Highs of 5 to 10C.

Increasingly windy throughout the day and rain and drizzle will spill south to all areas. This lingers into the afternoon and evening, becoming light and patchy overnight. Milder with highs 10 to 15C.
Tuesday 14/11/06
Perhaps a dry day for the south west of England. For most places it looks cloudy, wet and windy with sporadic outbreaks of rain. Later this turns to snow over the Highlands of Scotland. Highs of 10 to 15C.
Wednesday 15/11/06
Cloudy with any residual rain in the far south of England to fade by the afternoon. Colder to the north with showers but mainly dry and sunnier in the east. Risk of frost by night. High temperatures of 7 to 13C.
