The upcoming week looks unsettled with no sign of high pressure coming our way. Atlantic lows and fronts will rule, bringing spells of rain to most parts. The south westerly winds will also keep it on the mild side putting wintry on hold for awhile longer.

Heavy morning showers for western parts of Britain, these merging into longer spells of rain at times. Fine and dry to the east with some morning sunshine. Rain spreads into all but East Anglia in the afternoon. The rain slowly clears away during the night, then colder with a few wintry showers for northern Scotland. Highs at 5 to 13C north to south.

Breezy with a few wintry showers for northern Scotland. The bulk of the United Kingdom looks dry but cold with long sunny spells. Fine and dry overnight with a widespread frost inland. Rain moves into Northern Ireland overnight. Highs at 5 to 8C.
