Flooding in the north

And still the rain falls! But this time it is expected to be the north and west of the UK that sees the rainfall over the coming days, and this is causing some concern.

You can see by looking at this chart which shows the rainfall reaching Scotland and Ireland during Wednesday morning. The darker blue colours show heavier rain which doesn't really clear until late on Thursday. By then there could have been up to 2-inches of rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as Northwest England.

At the moment the forecast models are pointing to a change in conditions for the coming weekend. If you look at the forecast Of course, all of that rainfall has to go somewhere and it does seem likely that there could be flooding for some through the end of this week.

At Weatheronline we have rainfall totals updated throughout the day, and you can see a map of the latest rainfall totals by clicking here.

But whatever the weather, keep the sun shining!
