Outbreaks of heavy rain will continue to develop across Devon and Cornwall during the early hours of Tuesday. Totals of 15 to 20mm are expected quite widely over low ground, with up to 30mm likely over higher ground. The rain will be accompanied by strong winds with gusts of 50 mph, locally 60 mph on some exposed coasts. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Environment Agency, Floodline, and 'Flood Warnings in Force', and to refer to the 'Highways Agency' for further advice regarding traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
