Widespread fog is expected to be dense and freezing at times this morning, particularly in low-lying areas, with visibility reduced to below 50 metres in places. Conditions will improve later in the morning. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
