Outbreaks of heavy rain, perhaps scattered thunderstorms, are likely to move north-eastwards during this evening and into the early hours of Wednesday. Up to 15mm of rain may fall in an hour with 25mm of rain falling in three hours very locally. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the "Highways Agency" for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
