Very heavy rain will affect southern Scotland for much of today giving accumulations between 15 and 20 mm in 3 hours. Total accumulations may reach up to 50 mm locally by the end of the day. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Scottish Environment Protection Agency 'Live Flood Warning Information' and to 'Traffic Scotland' for further advice on road conditions.
