Showers and thunderstorms will be locally very heavy and prolonged this evening and will give accumulations in excess of 15 mm in 3 hours in places. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the 'Highways Agency' for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads, and also to the Environment Agency Floodline and 'Flood Warnings in force'.
