Rain will become persistent, and at times heavy, over the west of Highland this evening, overnight and through Friday. Accumulations of 25 to 40mm will fall on saturated ground, with isolated totals of 70mm in upland and mountainous areas. Clearer conditions will arrive on Friday evening. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Scottish Environment Protection Agency 'Live Flood Warning Information', and to 'Traffic Scotland' for further advice on road conditions.
