Valid from 22:00 on Saturday, 22nd November 2008 until 04:00 on Sunday, 23rd November 2008
Snow is expected to spread east later this evening and overnight with accumulations of 2 to 5cm likely in places away from the west coast, and perhaps locally 10cm in the east. The snow will gradually turn to rain from the west, the rain falling onto frozen surfaces briefly which could give widespread ice for a time on roads and pavements, before milder more showery conditions spread east later in the night. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to 'Traffic Scotland' for further advice on road conditions.
