Rain and sleet will turn to snow for a while and will become locally heavy, especially over the higher ground. Accumulations of 2 to 5 cm are likely in places, perhaps with up to 10 cm over the hills. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice regarding traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
