Skies are starting to clear across the area now that the sleet and snow is clearing away west this allowing temperatures to dip away quite sharply so widespread ice is expected to form on any untreated roads or pavements so the public are advised to take extra care and to refer to 'Traffic Scotland' for further advice on road conditions.
