Sleet and snow will spread eastwards across parts of the West Midlands and northwest England during Sunday morning, giving widespread accumulations of 2 to 6 cm, and locally up to 10 cm. This will also lead to widespread ice on roads and pavements. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
