Outbreaks of snow will spread from the south overnight and persist through Wednesday. Accumulations of 5 to 10cm are expected quite widely, and locally in excess of 15cm across higher ground where there will be drifting in the strengthening easterly winds. In the south snow should turn to rain at most levels later in the day. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to "Traffic Scotland" for further advice on road conditions.
