Scattered heavy showers and thunderstorms will affect parts of southeast England this afternoon. Rainfall totals may reach 15mm in three hours or less in places, with a risk of up to 25mm falling very locally. Showers will ease from the west later. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.
