Showers will merge into some longer spells of heavy rain overnight. Accumulations of 20mm will occur quite widely, locally 30mm in more mountainous parts of North Argyll. The rain will be accompanied by gale force westerly winds, with gusts exceeding 60 mph in places. Clearer conditions with more scattered showers will return by the morning. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Scottish Environment Protection Agency "Live Flood Warning Information", and also to "Traffic Scotland" for further advice on road conditions.
