Outbreaks of rain will turn heavy and persistent through this morning and early afternoon with accumulations of 15 to 30mm expected quite widely, with perhaps isolated accumulations of 50mm over the hills. The rain will gradually die out this afternoon. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the latest Scottish Environment Protection Agency "Live Flood Warning Information", and also to "Traffic Scotland" for further advice on road conditions.
