Showers will turn increasing wintry during the early hours of Thursday with snow expected above 200m giving accumulations of 3 to 5cm. Some drifting is possible over the highest routes. In the heaviest showers the snow could lie to quite low levels giving 1 or 2cm. This could also lead to a risk of ice. The wintry showers will die out on Thursday morning. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to "Traffic Scotland" for further advice on road conditions.
