Outbreaks of rain will become more persistent and occasionally heavy through this evening and turn increasingly to sleet and snow. Total accumulations of snow of 10 to 15cm are expected, especially above 150 metres and locally 20cm over higher ground, through the night and Saturday morning. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to "Traffic Scotland" for further advice on road conditions.
