A second spell of stormy conditions is expected this evening, this time affecting the far north and northeast of Scotland. Winds are likely to gust to 70-80 mph, with over 90 mph on exposed coasts and hills. Blizzards will affect inland areas above about 100 m making for atrocious driving conditions. There is a risk of disruption to transport and power.
