A mysterious "green rain" that sent local villagers scurrying for cover has turned out to be bee feces rather than toxic chemicals as some people had feared. The "green rain" was reported on two days in the small town of Sangrampur, several dozen miles north of Calcutta. An analysis of the rain indicates the green color was a result of pollen mixing with the feces of a large swarm of bees.
