A developing tropical storm system southeast of Hong Kong is eyed by local forecasters. With little wind shear, favorable water temperatures and deep convection the storm - named 07w - is likely to become a cyclone within the next 48 hours. The system is drifting east at 8 kph (5mph) and is a potential danger for southern Taiwan.
