Madagascar Tropical Floods
940mm in three days

Remnants of tropical cyclone Kesiny battered eastern Madagascar with an incredible total of 940mm (about 37 inches) of rain over the last three days. The rains began easing Sunday but the 165,000 inhabitants of the city of Toamasina remained without electricity and fresh water, roads were impassable and poorer districts were under water.
