Rain in Spain, heavy rain and strong winds in the east
Today
Portugal and southern Spain look set to stay unsettled through the day. There will be some rain and showers, most light, but an odd heavier one is possible too. Drier to the north of Spain and Portugal with most of France being dry, although cold once again in many central and southern parts. Italy and Greece should stay dry throughout with sunny spells here. Dry in the west of Turkey but snow and rain to the north and east.
To the north gales will be plunging through parts of Germany and Denmark and into Poland. Heavy rain associated with the winds will be preceded by snow over central and southern Germany, as well as Poland. Western parts of Norway having snow showers, whilst much of central and northern Sweden should be dry with sunny spells, and drier, colder conditions too over Finland.
Monday
More rain and showers to come across Portugal, southern and eastern Spain, these extending into the Balearics. Drier for northern Iberia and France with sunny spells here. More sunshine to come through Italy, although a few showers could trouble Greece and Turkey.
Unsettled in southern Germany, Austria and much of eastern Europe with wintry showers here. Northern Germany, Denmark and Poland will be dry with bright spells. Dry too across Sweden, although a few showers over the Baltic States and Finland. Further rain over western parts of Norway, some of it heavy.
