Tuesday
A large anticyclone dominates west of France, bringing dry and fine conditions to most of southern France and Iberia. However, through central and northern France, together with Switzerland, Germany and the Low Countries there will be showers, some of them heavy. Dry for much of Sweden although showers affecting the western coasts of Norway. A windy day through the Baltic States with some showers or longer spells of rain here. Showers could trouble Italy, with blizzard over the interior of the former Yugoslavia. Greece and Turkey should be dry as will be much of the central Mediterranean, although a few showers are likely on northern coasts of the Balearics.
Wednesday
Damp and dreary through the UK, with the rain extending into northern France, the Low Countries and northern Germany, this tending to be drizzly and light. Western Norway and Denmark see the rain by evening, together with increasing winds. For Sweden it should be a dry day, although showers will be affecting the Baltic States and Finland. To the south showers will extend through Italy, Greece and the Balkans. Heavy showers and rain through Crete and western Turkey with snow in the mountains. Most of the central and western Mediterranean should be dry.
