Cloud, rain and strong winds to the north

Today
A broad west to southwesterly airflow affecting the northern half of Europe through Saturday. There will be an area of rain extending through the southern UK, northern France, Low Countries, central Germany, Poland, Baltic States and into Finland. Most of this is going to be light, although could be heaviert in the southern UK, and turning to snow over the Baltic States.
Showers afecting the western coasts of Scotland and Ireland, together with western Norway. Central Norway and southern Sweden will have sunny spells and should be dry.
A dry day to come over Spain and Portugal, these dry conditions extending into southern France, the central Mediterranean, Italy and into Greece and Turkey. Warm here too.

Sunday
Little change through Sunday with a north-south split in conditions. Rain, heavy at times together with strong winds crossing Ireland and moving through Scotland and western Norway. rain and cloud over southern France, Switzerland, the Czech and Slovak Republics, and Poland. The rain may be heavier in Belorus and Ukraine, this pushing into the Baltic States and western Russia.
Most of Spain and Portugal staying dry, although some showers in the far northwest. The far south of France, Balearics, Coprsica, Sardinia, Italy, Balkans, Greece and Turkey should all be dry, with the best of the sunshine towards the west. Temperatures around normal to the south, but above average over southern Scandinavia, the Baltic States and western Russia.
