Yet more rain in Spain, dry for the north and west

Today
Showers again over eastern and southern parts of Spain, a few of them heavy, but tending to fade away during the course of the day. The rest of Portugal and Spain should have a dry day with sunny spells. Through France, most of Italy, Switzerland and Germany there will be morning mist and fog patches, together with a widespread frost. These should clear away and then the day is going to be bright with some sunny spells.
For much of Poland, Hungary and Austria it should be dry too with broken cloud and some sunny spells coming through.
More unsettled conditions over eastern Europe with snow showers in Romania and Bulgaria. The showers extending into the forming Yugoslavia, Greece, northern and western Turkey where there could be more prolonged spells of rain and sleet, with snow over the hills. To the north heavy snow showers and fairly windy over western and northern coasts of Norway. To the east and south it should be drier. Most of Denmark and Sweden will be dry too, although showers affecting the far north of Sweden. An area of snow will be passing over Finland, although it should be drier this afternoon.

Monday
Cold weather pushing south over most of north and western Europe during the course of the day. There will be some snow showers over northern and eastern Scotland and England. Rain and sleet showers pushing south into the north of Spain, central Italy, the Low Countries and much of Germany. A breezy day with rain and snow over Poland, the Baltic States, Belarus and the west of Russia.
Breezy with snow showers over Norway and further snow showers in central Sweden, although the south should be dry. A few snow showers in Denmark.
For Italy and the former Yugoslavia it will be a dry day with sunny spells. Dry too in Greece where there will be further sunshine. Showers still affecting the Aegean and western Turkey with heavy snow affecting inland parts of Turkey.
