Snow across the United Kingdom
Today
Another bitterly cold day across Scandinavia with heavy snow showers for Sweden, Denmark and western Norway, some sun too. For Norway it's dry, sunny day with temperatures staying well below freezing. Cold too for the UK and The Low Counties with sunny spells and coastal snow showers. Fine and dry across northern France while an area of sleety rain across southern France extends into Austria, Switzerland into Germany and the Baltic Sates. Rain across Portugal spreads into northern Spain in the afternoon with plenty of showers for Italy and Greece today. Cold but sunny for Turkey with the best of the warm sunshine reserved for southern Spain.
Thursday
Snow is expected to push into England with rain into France and quite windy here. Spells of heavy rain too for Iberia the Benelux region. As the rain spreads into a colder Germany expect sleet and snow with snow showers for Poland, The Baltic States along with parts of Norway. A heavier spells of snow is forecast across Sweden and staying extremely cold but sunny for Finland. Showers are likely across the Balkans, southern Italy and western Turkey.
