Heavy rain in western Europe

Today
Very windy with gales across France and through the English Channel. Rain is forecast across the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Spain, this heavy. Drier and sunnier across Iberia in the afternoon with a few showers. Rain too across Austria and Switzerland. Sunny and dry across Greece and The Balkans and showers and spells of rain across Turkey. Rain spread into Italy during the afternoon after a dry morning. Sleet and snow is expected across southern parts of Sweden and Denmark with the rest of Scandinavia very cold and dry.

Tuesday
Rain across Portugal spreads into northern Spain today. Rain too for western France into England. Fine across much of Spain into southern France. Heavy rain and gusty winds clear from Italy and push into Greece and The Balkans. Patchy sleet and rain will affect Germany, The Balkans, Denmark and southern Sweden. Cold with a few snow showers across Poland and the Baltic States. Mild through the Mediterranean today.
