Heavy rain in central parts of Europe, but drier to the south
Today
Low pressure passing into central Europe is going to bring with it heavy periods of rain. These will be passing through the UK and France in the morning, then on into the Low Countries, Germany, Switzerland and northern Italy. Some patchy rain extending into central parts of Spain. Elsewhere through Spain and Portugal, and then later western France should be drier with sunny spells and it will be mild.
Central parts of the Mediterranean are going to be dry. Sunny spells will be passing through Italy and into the former Yugoslavia. Greece is going to be remaining dry with more sunshine, although heavy showers for Turkey and Cyprus, these showers wintry over the hills. Conditions stay dry and sunny to across Hungary, Austria and running into Poland.
To the north high pressure is going to be dominating and this will be bringing mainly dry conditions to much of Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Baltic States, although a few snow flurries cannot be ruled out.
Wednesday
Plenty of dry weather across Spain and Portugal, warm here as well. The sunshine extending into the Balearics and France and then into the UK and Low Countries. Much of Germany and Switzerland as well as northern Italy are likely to be remaining dry. Colder through Germany and Switzerland with a risk of thick fog, this slow to clear.
Heavier showers through central and southern parts of Italy, these extending onto the western coasts of the former Yugoslavia.
Greece, Bulgaria and Romania as well into Poland, Belarus and Ukraine will be staying generally dry.
Over Scandinavia it is likely to be remaining dry too thanks to high pressure which will be centred to the north of Finland.
