Plenty of dry weather, but unsettled in southeast

Today
High pressure is going to be dominating the weather through the course of today. This is going to be bringing some fine weather to Portugal and Spain with good spells of sunshine, although the south of Portugal and Spain may be a little breezy.
A dry day to come across France with more spells of sunshine here, and the sunshine extending through much of Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Italy.
For the far southeast of the Mediterranean conditions will be staying unsettled with low pressure here bringing more cloud and rain. It will be a breezy day through Turkey and Crete with periods of rain and showers moving into Greece. Cyprus may have some showers, a few of them heavy, with similar weather in Israel.
To the north Bulgaria and Romania will be staying generally dry with some sunshine after an early frost. Further spells of sunshine through Poland, Belarus and the Ukraine. Thicker cloud for the Baltic States and western Russia with rain here.
Scattered showers and breezy for Finland, generally dry in Sweden, apart from some cloud and showers in the south. Staying windy with rain and showers in Norway, a chance of some gales on the coasts.

Wednesday
A large area of high pressure remains across most of Europe. This is going to be bringing fine conditions again through much of the southern UK, France, the Balearics, Spain and Portugal. Lots of sunshine through these areas and staying dry too.
Dry too through Germany and southwards into Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and Italy, although there is a risk of a shower in the Balearics. Fair too through the former Yugoslavia.
A chance of a shower in Greece, some heavy, whilst it will be a windy day with periods of rain and showers through Turkey and Cyprus as well as Crete. The winds could reach gale force over the hills. A chance of heavy showers in Israel.
Bulgaria and Romania should be staying dry with more sunshine here. A band of showers and cloud will be passing southeast through Belarus and the Ukraine with heavier rain and snow moving into western Russia. For Finland there will be a few showers, but Norway should be dry with sunny spells although rather breezy. Increasing cloud in the west of Norway bringing rain and stronger winds.
