Remaining hot through southeast Europe, but rain and showers to the north

Today
A fine day over Portugal and most of Spain. There will be some good spells of sunshine, and it will be dry too. Rain is likely over the rain north of Spain, most of it generally light. For France there will be showers and rain over most of western and northern parts, wit thunderstorms breaking out in the far south and southeast.
The Low Countries see a band of rain sweep eastwards, followed by scattered showers. More cloud and rain for the western and northern areas of Germany, whilst the south and east will be dry with sunny spells. Thundery showers affecting Switzerland and these are likely to be heavy at times once again.
Dry over Italy with lots of sunshine throughout the day, and becoming hot here too. Hot and sunny over the former Yugoslavia, with this heat extending through Greece and Cyprus. Hot too in Turkey and Crete with more sunshine. Another fair day in Bulgaria and Romania with more sunshine.
A few showers in northern Poland, but the south of Poland dry with sunny spells. The Baltic States will have some showers, and these could be heavy at times. For most of Sweden and Norway will be mainly dry with sunny spells, although some showers through central parts of Sweden and Norway.

Monday
Dry with plenty of sunshine through Portugal and Spain, and hot here as well. A few showers in northern France, some heavy on the coasts, just an odd shower in the far west. Elsewhere through France it should be mainly dry with more sunshine here.
Sunshine and showers in the Low Countries, most in the afternoon. Fair in western Germany, but rain to the east. A few showers in Switzerland, some of them heavy, with sunshine in the west. The heavy showers extend into northern Italy as well, but most of central and southern Italy should be fair with lots of sunshine.
Scattered showers over northern parts of the former Yugoslavia, but generally hot dry and sunny here. Lots of sunshine through Greece, Cyprus, Crete and Turkey, and it will be hot too. Plenty of hot sunshine through Bulgaria and Romania. Some thunderstorms breaking out in Belarus and Ukraine.
Cloud and thundery rain breaking out through Poland, possibly becoming heavy in the west. Mainly fair in the Baltic States with plenty of sunshine here. Dry and sunny over Finland and most of Sweden and Norway. However, increasing cloud in southern Norway and Sweden will be bringing some heavy periods of rain. The rain passing through Denmark, becoming drier from the south.
