Continued hot with lots of sunshine on Sunday as rain persists in the north

Today
An area of heavy rain across Scotland is expected to spread into Norway and Holland in the afternoon then into Sweden. Expect sunny spells and scattered showers across Poland, The Baltic States and Finland today.
For the bulk of Europe and throughout the whole of the Mediterranean Region it' largely fine and dry with good sunny spells. It becomes quite warm toady across France and Germany and also for much of eastern Europe as well as high pressure continues to dominate. Very hot across Spain, the Balearics and Turkey.

Sunday
On Sunday an area of moderate to heavy rain will lie from the United Kingdom down into Portugal. Windy across Scandinavia today with outbreaks of heavy rain across northern parts for Norway, Sweden and across Finland. To the south expect a few showers.
Across much of mainland Europe and into the Mediterranean it's a dry, hot and sunny day as temperatures climb above the thirties quite widely. Afternoon sea breezes will develop around the Mediterranean coasts help keeping it fresher.
