Continued hot in the south east and into the Mediterranean
Today
A windy, wet day across Scandinavia as an area of heavy rain across Norway and Sweden spreads into Finland in the afternoon. Just a few showers today across the United Kingdom with more showers expected across the Low Countries and into Denmark. Fine, sunny and pleasantly warm across Germany. Apart from some light rain the far north of France, the country looks mainly fine and dry. There is a risk of heavy thunderstorms across The Alpine Region today.
It remains settled, sunny and very warm across Portugal, Spain into the Balearics, Italy into Greece and Turkey. Still hot across Hungary with unbroken sunshine. Sunny as well for the former Czech Republic and Bulgaria. Sunshine and showers are forecast across Poland, Belarus and Russia with rain across the Baltic States.

A much drier day to come across the United Kingdom with sunny spells. Northern France will see showers today while the south is dry, sunny and warm. Unsettled today with rain across Germany giving way to afternoon showers. Showers are forecast across Denmark into western parts of Poland, dry in the east. Very windy day across Scandinavia with a belt of rain clearing Norway and moving into Sweden and Finland. A few showers will fall across the Baltic States with a fine, sunny day for Russia. Rain and showers are likely across Switzerland, Austria and the Czech Republic.
Continued hot and sunny for Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Hungary, Romania, the Ukraine and Bulgaria. It also remains sunny and very warm across Spain into Italy, Greece and Turley.
