Staying unsettled and chilly across Europe Wednesday

Today
Today looks quite unsettled and chilly with further heavy showers to come across England today with an area of heavier rain sweeping in across France, the Low Countries into Germany. This clears France in the afternoon as it turns sunnier with just a few showers.
Another area of heavy rain will move into Norway and southern parts of Sweden into Poland and the Baltic States. Fair and dry across Finland. Scattered showers will affect Switzerland, Austria and the former Czech Republic. It remains sunny and warm across Iberia through the central Mediterranean into Italy and the Balkans.

Wednesday
Quite a chilly day in store for much of central and northern Europe. The Alps could even see snow showers over the higher elevations. Another very showery day is expected for the United Kingdom, Benelux, France and Germany, many locally heavy, interspersed with sunnier spells. An area of heavier, more persistent rain will lie from Norway into Sweden, Holland, Denmark into Poland and the Baltic States. Overcast and wet as well for the former Czech Republic into Rumania. Expect patchy rain for southern parts of Finland, dry and sunnier to the north. The fine, sunny and warmest weather will again be found across Spain into the Balearics, Italy, Greece and Turkey. Very windy across the south of France with a mistral blowing today.
