Continued hot with lots of sunshine but unsettled in the north
Today
An area of heavy, thundery rain will lie from south east England into France and this moves into the Low Countries in the afternoon. Rain also spread in across Norway.
Cells of high pressure will keep most areas settled. Expect it to be dry across Spain into Italy and across the Balkans. Hot across eastern Europe and dry with lots of summery sunshine for Germany, Poland into the Baltic States and Russia. Scattered showers will fall across parts of Finland with the rest of Scandinavia pleasantly warm and dry.
Tuesday
On Tuesday high pressure over Italy and eastern Europe will keep much of Europe fine. Apart from a few showers across France, much of mainland Europe and the the Mediterranean will remain hot and sunny day as temperatures climb above the thirties quite widely. Afternoon sea breezes will develop around the Mediterranean coasts help keeping it fresher.
There will be showers today across the United Kingdom with an area of heavy, thundery rain pushing north into Norway and Sweden. Continued dry across Finland with sunny spells.
