Chilly in the north
Today
Continued chilly across northern France, Germany into Poland and Scandinavia.
A large area of high pressure will give the United Kingdom, France and the Alpine Region and fine, mostly sunny day. Good sunny spells too across the Netherlands and Germany with a few scattered, light showers. An area of light rain will lie across Denmark into Poland and the Baltic States. Heavier rain will affect Finland with sunshine and showers across Norway and Sweden. A band of rain will push across the Ukraine and Romania.
Very warm and sunny weather will prevail across Spain, into Italy and the Balkans though a few showers may develop across southern Italy in the afternoon. Not as hot but still warm and dry across south eastern parts of Europe.
Wednesday
An area of rain will stretch from Norway into Scotland. Breezy across Finland and chilly too with sunny spells and showers while it's a fine, dry day for Sweden. Showers will also develop across the Baltic States today. An area of heavy, thundery rain will affect Romania and Bulgaria. Thunderstorms will also develop across parts of the Ukraine. Then apart from heavy showers in the far north west of Spain, it's fine, sunny and warm across Iberia, through the Balearics into Italy, Greece, Turkey, France and Germany as high pressure dominates.
