Fine, warm across much of the Mediterranean
Today
A fresher day across the United Kingdom with scattered showers. A belt of rain will extend across Finland into the Baltic States through Denmark, northern Germany and northern France. Heavy showers will develop across central and southern parts of France and Germany in the afternoon. Showers are forecast for Norway with a dry, sunny and much cooler day for Sweden. A number of showers will develop across the former Czech and Yugoslav Republics but some good sunny spells are expected too. Sunny across Portugal today and through central and southern Spain while heavy showers affect the north.
Lots of warm sunshine to come for Italy with a few light afternoon showers. Fine and sunny for Bulgaria, Romania and the Balkans.
Tuesday
Cooler air now has pushed into much of Europe today. An area of moderate to locally heavy rain is expected to stretch from Finland across The Baltic States, Poland into central and southern Germany into central France. Heavy spells of rain are also forecast for Switzerland and northern Italy. Heavy showers are likely across southern France and northern parts of Spain today.
For England, northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands it looks fair, dry and bright with sunny spells. Sunny too across Sweden with showers across western Norway. Fine and dry across southern Spain, the Balearics into southern Italy, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, the former Yugoslav Republic and Romania. Generally a dry day across Russia with showers across the Ukraine and Belarus.
