Low pressure brings cloud and rain through central Europe, extending into the Baltic States

Today
A mainly fair day with sunny spells to come through Portugal and Spain, although thicker cloud on northern coasts. Across much of France the weather is going to be staying dry and bright with more sunshine. There will be showers for eastern parts of France, a few of them heavy. A breezy day through the Low Countries and dry too in sunny spells. There will be sunshine to come through all parts of Germany, with cloud, rain and showers over southern and eastern Poland, whilst the north and west stay dry and bright, although breezy. Into central Europe there will be some heavy periods of rain, and these extend through Switzerland, Austria and Hungary.
To the south there will be heavy showers and rain through northern parts of Italy. Much of central Italy also has showers, but the far south should be dry in sunny spells. More rain or showers over the far north of the former Yugoslavia, but the south should be dry and sunny. Plenty of sunshine over Greece and Turkey and feeling warm here as well. Dry and sunny for Romania and Bulgaria with the Ukraine and Belarus fair too.
The Baltic States will be windy with cloud and heavy bursts of rain, this extending through the far east of Sweden and southern Finland. Mainly fair for the rest of Finland and Sweden as well as eastern Norway, although the west and north of Norway will have heavy showers.

Wednesday
Another fine day across Spain and Portugal. Plenty of sunshine here and feeling warm as well. For France there will be some showers across far northern coastal areas, but for the rest of France there will be plenty of sunshine and dry conditions. Cloud, increased winds and rain over the Low Countries and northern Germany. central and southern Germany should be dry with some sunny spells. Poland will have sunshine and showers; most of these through the north where some could be heavy.
High pressure brings a fair day over Switzerland, Austria and Hungary. Northern Italy should be dry too with more sunshine to come here, this fine weather extending into the north of the former Yugoslavia. For southern Italy and southern Yugoslavia the weather is going to be more unsettled. Showers or rain here. The showers extend into the north of Greece, but for the majority of the country it should stay dry. Plenty of dry weather and sunshine for Turkey, Crete and Cyprus. Cloud and rain through Romania and Bulgaria, some of it heavy and extending across the Ukraine and Belarus.
For Scandinavia there will be wind and some morning heavy showers in the Baltic States, with showers fading and the winds becoming easier over Finland. Sweden should be dry for most of the day, although rain into the southwest later. Cloud and rain for Denmark and southwest Norway where it will be breezy. Drier to the north in sunny spells.
